It’s not very often that I go to Goodwill of Orange County and don’t find anything to bring home. This last trip was one for the books though as I found everything I needed to put together a nice setup for an early springtime brunch with friends!
We love to entertain so we tend to collect lots of cute glasses, fun plates, barware, serveware, etc. Goodwill is definitely one of the best places to look for these types of necessities. You can very often find great quality crystal glasses or platters, fun cups, gorgeous wine glasses and many more things — all at great prices.
On this trip, I knew exactly what I needed and was hoping that I would be able to pull it all together with good finds at my local Goodwill. And I seriously scored! I found the coolest centerpiece. At first, we weren’t exactly sure as to what it was, but I knew that I could use it to create a floral arrangement on the table.
After a few more aisles, I was able to round up these gorgeous silver egg cups, plastic eggs, faux flowers, napkin rings and the cutest little glass bunny trinket (in the photo above).
I also grabbed a super cute, spring colored scarf and decided that I was going to cut that into four pieces and use as our napkins!
As soon as I got home, I wanted to put together a test run to make sure everything looked as we wanted it to. I started with the centerpiece and cut off the faux flowers and put them into the centerpiece. I then added a candle we had lying around the house to the center of it all to complete the look.
Next, I cut the scarf into four pieces and inserted them into the napkin holders. I was super excited about how this came out — the colors were bright and fun, but also matched the faux flowers I had managed to find!
I filled up the plastic eggs with some delicious Jordan Almonds and set them into the egg cups at each plate. I love these silver egg cups because I can use them for so many other fun dinners and brunches! In the future, I plan on using gilded pears with our guests’ name on them as placeholders!
Everything came together so well, making this DIY brunch tablescape was easy and super affordable! We will definitely reuse a lot of this for future spring/summer brunches with friends. I can keep the centerpiece for years and switch it out with different colored faux flowers to make it last forever or I can use real flowers for that extra touch.
There were so many different options for scarf napkins that I think I will go back and grab a few more! I love the idea of cloth napkins because they add a fancy touch and are more resourceful! All you have to do is wash and reuse.
We also scored on some new records for our record player so I am super excited about that. We can’t wait to use these at our brunch and for years to come!
