Charitable Holiday Donations with Goodwill of Orange County

donationsFrom fabulous feasts and family traditions to social gatherings and heartfelt gifts, the holiday season is all about sharing love and good will.

In keeping with the warm and loving spirit of the season, December is the perfect time of year to think about ways you can give back to those in need. Whether it’s clothing, electronics, household items, time or money, your charitable holiday donations have the greatest impact when you give to organizations that spend responsibly.

Every day, Goodwill of Orange County helps the most underserved people in the local community achieve their highest levels of personal and economic independence through competitive employment. And gracious donations from individuals like you are the foundation of that achievement.

What to Donate

The holidays are the perfect time of year to declutter your home. Whether you have an original iMac that has been collecting dust, toys that your children have outgrown, or clothing that you haven’t worn in years, Goodwill of Orange County accepts a wide array of goods for donation.

In lieu of donating goods, monetary contributions are another way to provide support. Best of all, your charitable contributions are not only tax-deductible, but they also directly support Goodwill’s programs and services to provide employment training and jobs to people with disabilities and other barriers in your community.

Maximize Your Tax Savings

Many people don’t realize that they can turn their generosity into tax savings. When you donate gifts of cash or items to Goodwill of Orange County, you’ll receive a donation receipt. At the end of the year, that receipt can be used to claim a variety of donations on tax returns.
